In March, people working on obesity care from around the world met in Montreal.
At the Global Obesity Implementation Forum, experts agreed on which actions should come first. At the opening of the Canadian Obesity Summit, Vicki Mooney, Patty Nece, Ian Patton and youth advocate Kassy Cummins shared their own experiences.
The week also moved forward a Global Patient Charter for Obesity, which sets out the basic rights of people living with obesity, from fair access to care to freedom from stigma.
