ECPO was in Oslo for the 12th Annual Weight Stigma Conference, with activists, researchers and organizations from many countries.
Their main takeaway: a rights-based approach and a patient-focused approach to weight stigma work best together. ECPO also writes about how talking about biology and metabolism, instead of weight alone, can reduce blame and support the case for stigma-free care.
