Too often, research about obesity is done about people living with obesity, not with them. OAC is working to change that.
Its new Lived Experience Research Collaborative brings people living with obesity into every stage of research, from choosing the questions to understanding the results. It starts this summer with listening sessions, online and in person at the Your Weight Matters National Convention in Orlando.
We hope more organizations in our community follow this lead.
