World Obesity took a delegation to the 81st UN General Assembly in New York to make sure obesity is part of the conversation on Universal Health Coverage.
Along with a roundtable co-hosted with Egypt, Thailand and Kenya, people with lived experience took part throughout the week. Trustees Ogweno Stephen and Amber Huett-Garcia and advocate Morgan Salmon asked questions and shared their stories, including what obesity treatment costs families in Kenya.
The next step is the 2027 UN High-Level Meeting on UHC.
